I won’t address the political side of Firearms ownership in the United States as everyone has their beliefs. The comments about the third picture being scary made me laugh a bit. It also showed that most of the people that made those comments are very unfamiliar with firearms. Except for the M-16 all of his firearms are either bolt-action or single shot breach loading military arms. Obviously this man is a collector and not some nut job as many would believe. The weapon in his hand is an Sharps Lever action breach loading rifle that dates back to the 1870′s. The pic in the middle is a hunter, and the “gun” the little kid is holding is a toy, look for the orange cap on the barrel. Harmless.

Well… I know this is an old post… So…

I am Brazilian. And I think so weird this thing about guns that Americans like too much.
I’m sorry, but I think this is madness! I guess the majority of USA families has a gun. The only thing that I can think is americans are paranoics!
I saw a Michael Moore documentary about it. And this scared me a lot!

Well… There is a lot of ways to feel safe. Guns at home just increase the feeling of danger!

You don’t need a gun to feel safe in America, that’s just your NRA/Media/Government-fueled paranoia talking. Fear is a powerful weapon.

I doubt the two last guys have guns for protective measures, though.

No America doesn’t suck. But let me say, from out here some of you are really scary! Agree about the respect for guns comment. So grateful to live somewhere where I don’t need a gun to make me feel safe.

I live in the US and my husband has a permit to carry, we have a 9mm Glock in the house. It is locked in a digital safe so my kids can’t find it. I feel much safer knowing I have it if anyone ever entered my home to harm us. The picture with the baby holding the rifle disturbs me greatly though. Kids should know that guns are not toys and should be taught to respect and avoid them.

America doesn’t suck, otherwise thousands of immigrants wouldn’t be literally dying to get here every day on rafts from Cuba or huddled suffocating in the backs of trucks from Mexico. We are not perfect but I love my country. We just need to get the Republicans out of the White House…

Our government is horrible.
Luckily we can elect someone new every 4 yrs.Some countries don’t have that luxury.

this one is almost as good as the new book “a la cart” which is a photography book about people and their shopping lists.
